Lung League of Beider Basel

"The Lung League of beider Basel (www.llbb.ch) provides services for people with lung and breathing disabilities. The organization was created about 100 years ago in the battle against widespread tuberculosis. In 1999, the Leagues of beider Basel half cantons merged to form the Lung League of beider Basel with an office in Liestal and an information centre in Basel. About 40 employees are involved in healthy respiratory tract education as well as the prevention care of those afflicted with lung disease. More than 4000 people use the services of the Lung League annually. The Lung League of beider Basel is also very active in tobacco prevention. Apart from projects like "smokeless business” and "smokeless teaching" the Lung League offers stop-smoking training and contests to support people in the treatment of tobacco dependence..."
